Achieving Educational Excellence
The mission of Great Schools in Wake, a project of WakeUP, is to provide accurate information to educate the public about policy initiatives that would impact the quality of education, to foster well-informed discussions about critical education issues, and to advocate for policies that improve public education in Wake County.
“Although we no longer have children in school we are very supportive of the Wake County School System. Our sons received a top notch education in Wake County which prepared them for higher education and productive employment after graduate school. Public education in Wake County is something from which the entire community benefits. Support for quality education should be a must for every taxpayer in Wake County.
As a retired teacher, I am proud of the education system that we have built here in the Wake County Public Schools. School staff in Wake County continue to offer innovative and rigorous preparation for college and careers despite the challenges of tremendous growth. Our school system is strong and is one that provides excellent environments that are partnerships between teachers, families and the community. I am proud to have been a part of that.”
